Our approach teaches students to speak, read and write Brazilian Portuguese. Classes have a dynamic, unstructured feel and encourage direct conversational exchange between students and the instructor. This allows students to freely express themselves and to develop their linguistic skills within a comfortable grammatical framework and in the context of real-life situations.

Students are continually introduced to new and different facets of Brazilian culture. In addition to the textbook, the course includes newspaper and magazine articles and short literary works, as well as music, feature films and documentaries from Brazil. The folklore and artistic traditions of this rich culture are also covered.
